ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan’s exports to Central Asia grew by 135% during July-February 2022 from US$ 72.5 million to US$ 172.5 million in the same period of last year.

Similarly, Pakistan’s exports to Africa increased by 16% during July-February 2022 and stood at US$ 1.033 billion from US$ 0.892 billion during the corresponding period last year.

It was told by the Prime Minister’s Adviser for Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood on Twitter on Tuesday.

The adviser told that geographical diversification and enhancing regional trade & connectivity are major pillars of the Ministry of Commerce’s Strategic Trade Policy Framework.

“We have put in place “Look Africa” and “Silk Reconnect” policy initiatives for Africa & Central Asian Republics respectively,” he said.
