COVID-19 takes 25 more lives in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Further 25 COVID-19 patients succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours across Pakistan, taking the total death toll to 29,162.

The latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Thursday morning showed that 7,539 more people tested positive for Coronavirus on January 26 and the overall nationwide positivity ratio remained 11.91%.

The statistics showed that in the last 24 hours, 12 people died of COVID-19 in Sindh, 7 in Punjab, and 6 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Now the total number of Coronavirus Cases across the Country has reached 1,393,887 whereas the death toll has mounted to 29,162.

Out of total COVID-19 Cases detected so far, 533,496 have been recorded in Sindh, 469,540 in Punjab, 187,983 in KPK, 122,098 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), 36,082 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), 34,131 in Balochistan, and 10,557 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Similarly, Punjab has so far recorded 13,126 COVID deaths, Sindh 7,765, KPK 5,986, ICT 979, AJK 752, Balochistan 367, and Gilgit-Baltistan 187.
