ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Corporate Sector earned a profit of Rs 929 billion in the Fiscal Year 2020-21, which is Rs 342 billion more than made in the last year of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) regime.

Sharing the Recent Growth of Corporate Profitability on Twitter on Wednesday, the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib said that as a result of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s business-friendly policies, the Corporate Sector earned Rs 929 billion as profit in the last fiscal year.

While in 2018, the last year of the PML-N government, the Corporate Sector’s profit was recorded Rs 587 billion.

The minister further said that 70,000 new Companies were registered with a 44 percent increase during the PTI government whereas 25,856 Companies got registered in the PML-N’s five-year term.

Farrukh Habib told that in the first three quarters of the current Fiscal Year 2021-22, these Companies have registered a profit of Rs 258 billion.

The minister of state said that new records have been set during the three years of the PTI government.

The minister said that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, 494 percent growth was witnessed in the Real Estate Sector, 194 percent in the Information Technology (IT) Sector, and 136 percent in the Tourism Sector.
