ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Ambassador of Romania to Pakistan H.E Nicolae Goia met the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development (OP&HRD) Muhammad Ayub Afridi in Islamabad on Wednesday and congratulated him on his appointment as the advisor.

In the meeting, besides discussing bilateral relations of mutual interests, the advisor reiterated the Signing of the Proposed Bilateral Agreement between Pakistan and Romania so as to enhance manpower export between the two Countries.

Ayub Afridi said that Pakistan has potential manpower to meet Romanian Labour Market requirements.

The advisor also urged close coordination between relevant officials of both the Countries regarding data sharing of migrant workers in order to ensure the protection of migrant workers before and after departure to Romania.

The advisor said that open visa should be discouraged in order to promote safe, legal, and orderly migration to curb illegal channels of migration.

The Romanian ambassador assured that he will take up these proposals with his government.

Muhammad Ayub Afridi thanked the ambassador for his gesture and assured him of continued coordination and enhanced cooperation for the export of Pakistani workers to Romania.
