ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has reiterated the resolve to never let down the survivors and parents of martyred children in the 2014 Army Public School (APS) attack.

The seventh anniversary of the tragic incident of the terrorist attack on the APS Peshawar – in which 147 including students and teachers were martyred – is being observed Thursday.

In a Twitter statement, the prime minister said that Pakistan has successfully defeated terrorism.

“I reiterate we will never let down the survivors & parents of our martyred children,” he wrote.

The prime minister said that there is zero tolerance for violence and those using it as a tool.

Separately in his message on the 7th anniversary of the APS attack, Prime Minister Imran Khan urged the nation to stay firmly united against the elements trying to spread discord and prejudice on sectarian, religious, and ethnic lines.

The prime minister said that the nation should identify these elements in their ranks and help the state in eradicating them.

Imran Khan said that time has proved that terrorism has no religion or nation rather it is a cowardly mindset that can even use children to fulfill their sordid designs.
