ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Parliamentary Representatives from treasury and opposition benches met the Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The Parliamentarians included Pervez Khattak, Shafqat Mahmood, Shahida Akhtar Ali, Syed Naveed Qamar, Rana Tanveer, and Murtaza Javed Abbasi.

In the meeting, matters related to electoral reforms came under discussion.

It was agreed that a committee comprising members from both the Houses of the Parliament would be constituted to work on various issues related to electoral reforms.

It was decided that motions would be moved in both Houses for the constitution of the committee.

It was also decided that the Speaker National Assembly would be authorized to nominate members of the electoral reforms committee in consultation with Parliamentary leaders.
