ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Science and Technology Senator Shibli Faraz said that Pakistan and Norway look forward to cooperation and joint ventures in the field of Science and Technology.

“Pakistan and Norway have a history of friendly relations,” the minister said that in a meeting with the Norwegian Ambassador to Pakistan His Excellency Kjell-Gunnar Eriksen in Islamabad on Tuesday.

In the meeting, the focus of the discussion was to strengthen bilateral linkages in the field of Science and Technology.

The Norwegian ambassador opined that Norway is keen to re-establish cooperation with Pakistan in the field of Science and Technology.

The ambassador said that it has been more than 50 years of bilateral development cooperation between Pakistan and Norway.

Thus, we look forward to proposals and sustainable development programs benefiting the people of Pakistan, he said.

Shibli Faraz highlighted that the government is interested in doing sustainable projects to benefit people for a long duration.

The minister said that carrying the vision of the government forward, the Ministry of Science and Technology will play its due role to enhance cooperation with other Countries in the field of Science and Technology to achieve greater benefits for the Country.
