ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government has reduced the petrol price by Rs 1.50 per litre for the next fortnight to provide relief to the consumers.

The prices of High Speed Diesel (HSD) and Kerosene have also been reduced by Rs 1.50 per litre while the price of Light Diesel Oil has been slashed by Rs 1 per litre.

The new prices will be applicable from midnight today.

Now from September 1, 2021 onwards till next fortnight, the petrol will be available for Rs 118.30 per litre, HSD for Rs 115.03 per litre, Kerosene for Rs 86.80 per litre, and Light Diesel Oil for Rs 84.77 per litre.

In a statement, the government said that it’s firmly committed to ensure stability in prices of essential commodities and has sustained the price pressure in line with its commitment to the common man.

The government said that the petroleum levy is kept at a minimum which is a clear reflection that the government is fully cognizant of the impact of fuel prices on the prices of basic items that affect people directly.
