91 more people succumb to COVID-19 in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Further 91 people succumbed to COVID-19 in Pakistan and 4,075 new cases emerged showing a positivity ratio of 6.79% on August 23, according to the latest statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

The data showed that in the last 24 hours, 48 people died of Coronavirus in Punjab, 22 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 15 in Sindh, 5 in Azad Kashmir, and 1 in Balochistan.

In total, 25,094 COVID deaths have so far been reported in Pakistan including 11,605 in Punjab, 6,627 in Sindh, 4,819 in KPK, 852 in Islamabad, 685 in AJK, 336 in Balochistan, and 170 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Similarly, a total of 1,131,659 Coronavirus Cases have been detected in Pakistan to date.

Out of them, 422,418 Cases have been reported in Sindh, 382,332 in Punjab, 157,721 in KPK, 96,771 in Islamabad, 31,865 in Balochistan, 30,865 in AJK, and 9,687 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

So far, 1,015,519 infected people have recovered from the disease while 91,046 remain to be under treatment.

Meanwhile, 1,051,651 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 across the Country on August 23, taking the number of total doses administered so far in the Country to 47,802,106.
