135 more COVID-19 patients die in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan recorded 2,566 new Coronavirus Cases with a ratio of 8.61% while 135 more people succumbed to the virus on May 17, according to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

In the last 24 hours, 89 COVID-19 patients died in Punjab, 23 in Sindh, 18 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 3 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and 2 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).

With the emergence of new infections, now the total number of Coronavirus Cases in the Country has reached 882,928 whereas the death toll has jumped to 19,752.

In terms of province-wise details, Punjab has so far registered 328,775 COVID-19 Cases and 9,500 deaths, Sindh 299,913 Cases and 4,824 deaths, and KPK 127,224 Cases and 3,804 deaths.

Whereas Islamabad has recorded a total of 79,371 Coronavirus Cases and 733 deaths by now, Balochistan 23,931 Cases and 267 deaths, AJK 18,286 Cases and 517 deaths, and Gilgit-Baltistan 5,428 Cases and 107 deaths.

As of now, 795,511 people have recovered from the disease across the Country and the total active COVID Cases are 67,665.
