JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa met the Saudi Crown Prince and the first Deputy Prime Minster & Defence Minister His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and the Deputy Defence Minister His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud at Jeddah on Friday.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security situation including recent developments in the Afghan peace process, bilateral defence, security, collaboration for regional peace and connectivity were discussed.

The COAS said that Pakistan is resolute in its commitment to safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and defence of the two Holy Mosques.

The Crown Prince acknowledged Pakistan’s role towards regional peace and stability.

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman also said that the relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are based on bonds of brotherhood & mutual trust and both nations will continue to play their part for peace, stability & betterment of Muslim Ummah.
