RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The federal government has decided to register a terrorism case against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah for hurling threats to government officials.

Talking to the media persons in Rawalpindi on Saturday, the Federal Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain regretted the language recently used by Rana Sanaullah, saying that nobody can be allowed to threaten the institutions and officers.

The minister said that proscribing Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) was purely an internal decision of Pakistan. He outrightly rejected any foreign pressure on the matter.

Fawad Chaudhry said that the government handled the protests of the TLP in the best possible manner and the situation stands normalized now across the Country.

Earlier, the information minister visited the District Headquarters Hospital in Rawalpindi and inquired after the health of the police personnel injured in the recent protests.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) General Secretary and MNA Aamer Mehmood Kiani, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Political Communication Dr. Shahbaz Gill and the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi Imran Ahmar also accompanied the federal minister.
