Pakistan registers 3,495 Coronavirus Cases, highest since December 6

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan registered 3,495 Coronavirus Cases on March 17 with a positivity ratio of 7.8%, the highest figure since December 6, 2020.

In the last 24 hours, 44,377 COVID-19 tests were conducted across the Country which found 3,495 people suffering from the virus, the data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Thursday morning showed.

The data revealed that 61 patients of Coronavirus died in the Country on March 17.

Out of 61 deaths, 43 occurred in Punjab, 9 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 6 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), 2 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), and 1 in Sindh.

To date, a total of 615,810 Coronavirus Cases have been detected in the Country including 262,207 in Sindh, 191,186 in Punjab, 77,443 in KPK, 49,476 in ICT, 19,269 in Balochistan, 11,264 in AJK, and 4,965 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Similarly, 13,717 COVID-19 patients have so far lost their lives in the Country. Of them, 5,896 have died in Punjab, 4,469 in Sindh, 2,188 in KPK, 531 in ICT, 328 in AJK, 202 in Balochistan, and 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

With a 93.8% ratio, 577,501 patients have so far been recovered from the disease in the Country.

While the Active COVID-19 Cases in the Country as of March 18 are 24,592.
