2,338 more people found COVID positive in Pakistan with 5.5% ratio

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Country is again witnessing a surge in Coronavirus Cases as 2,338 more people were found positive in the last 24 hours with a national positivity ratio of 5.5%.

As per the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 42,499 people were tested for Coronavirus on March 12 in the Country and 2,338 of them turned out to be positive.

Besides, 46 COVID-19 patients mostly belonging to the Punjab province also succumbed to the disease on March 12.

The NCOC data showed that in the last 24 hours, 34 patients died in Punjab, 9 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 1 in Sindh.

So far a total of 13,476 Coronavirus patients have lost their lives in the Country with 2.2% death ratio.

Of them, 5,732 have died in Punjab, 4,453 in Sindh, 2,147 in KPK, 522 in Islamabad, 317 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), 202 in Balochistan, and 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Likewise, the number of Coronavirus Cases detected so far in the Country has reached 602,536.

With 260,959 Coronavirus Cases, Sindh remains the most affected province while Punjab has so far recorded 183,815 Cases, KPK 75,357, Islamabad 47,365, Balochistan 19,188, AJK 10,892, and Gilgit-Baltistan 4,960.

The NCOC data showed that 569,296 people suffering from Coronavirus have so far been recovered across Pakistan making it a significant count.

As of March 13, 19,764 Coronavirus patients are under treatment in the Country.
