LONDON: Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Wajid Shamsul Hasan resigned on Thursday from his post.

Hasan, who had succeeded Dr. Maleeha Lodhi, had been serving as the High Commissioner since June 2008.

He has a post graduate degree in International Relations and had worked as a journalist for several years. His first term as Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Britain was in 1994 relinquishing his post in 1996.
