Lahore Qalandars had ended its PSL Campaigns in 2016 and 2017 with 5th spot while in 2018 and 2019, it finished at the very bottom.

However, with Sohail Akhtar as overall its 7th Captain, Qalandars in the PSL 5th Edition broke the shackles and reached the Final.
