Pakistan ArmyStatement on Abhinandan’s release was misleading: DG ISPR

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Director General of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar has said that a statement was given yesterday about the release of the Indian Air Force (IAF) Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman in a bid to distort the facts.

In a short press Conference carrying one-point agenda in Rawalpindi on Thursday, the director general ISPR though didn’t name the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Sardar Ayaz Sadiq but described his statement as tantamount to make controversial Pakistani nation’s victory against the Indian aggression in February last year.

Major General Babar Iftikhar said that such a negative narrative has a direct impact on national security.
