ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the Bundle Island project will provide huge opportunities of investment and jobs.

Talking to the Governor Sindh Imran Ismail in Islamabad on Thursday, the prime minister directed him to finalize all affairs related to the Bundle Island in collaboration with the Sindh government.

Imran Ismail briefed the prime minister on progress regarding the Karachi Transformation Plan.

Meanwhile, addressing a News Conference along with the Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi in Islamabad, Imran Ismail said that the Bundle Island project off the coast of Karachi will attract US$ 50 billion investment which will benefit the Country’s overall economy.

The Sindh governor said that the federal government will take all the stakeholders on board prior to initiating this eco-friendly project.

The governor said that a working group will be established consisting of representatives of provincial and federal governments and other relevant departments.

Imran Ismail said that Bundle Island will increase the revenue of the Sindh government and it will also become a tourists’ destination in the Country. He said that the project will also generate job opportunities approximately 150,000.

Furthermore, he said that he will hold a meeting with the Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah to address reservations of the provincial government.
