South Punjab - The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that after years of struggle and determination by the people of South Punjab, we have achieved a major milestone in the establishment of a separate South Punjab province. In a Twitter statement on Tuesday, Qureshi said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has announced the posting of high-level bureaucrats to South Punjab for a fully functional Secretariat. Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that this achievement is a testament to our commitment to fulfilling our promise to the people of Pakistan. “I congratulate the people of Southern Punjab and I thank my Prime Minister Imran Khan for his vision and support,” he said.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that after years of struggle and determination by the people of South Punjab, we have achieved a major milestone in the establishment of a separate South Punjab province.

In a Twitter statement on Tuesday, Qureshi said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has announced the posting of high-level bureaucrats to South Punjab for a fully functional Secretariat.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that this achievement is a testament of our commitment to fulfilling our promise to the people of Pakistan.

“I congratulate the people of Southern Punjab and I thank my Prime Minister Imran Khan for his vision and support,” he said.

Earlier on Monday, the Punjab government announced the posting of 10 Secretaries for the South Punjab Secretariat in a major development towards empowering the people of southern Punjab.
