ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the entire political leadership of Pakistan is united on the Kashmir issue, and Indian attempts to jeopardize this unanimity have been frustrated.

While addressing a Press Conference in Islamabad on Friday flanked by the Federal Minister for Information & Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz and the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on National Security Moeed Yusuf, Qureshi reiterated government’s resolve that entire Pakistani nations stand by with their Kashmiri brethren in their just struggle for the right to self-determination.

Kashmir - The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the entire political leadership of Pakistan is united on the Kashmir issue, and Indian attempts to jeopardize this unanimity have been frustrated. While addressing a Press Conference in Islamabad on Friday flanked by the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz and the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on National Security Moeed Yusuf, Qureshi reiterated government's resolve that entire Pakistani nations stand by with their Kashmiri brethren in their just struggle for the right to self-determination. The foreign minister said that on August 5 last year, the Modi government launched demographic apartheid in Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K) and divided the region into three parts. Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the Indian government tried to divide the Kashmiri people through this illegal act. The minister said that Kashmiri people are facing immense difficulties, pain, and persecution under the continued military siege for the last one year. Qureshi said that Prime Minister Imran Khan in his speech at the UN General Assembly awakened the world and gave a new life to Kashmir dispute. Moreover, he said that the Coronavirus lockdown realized the world about difficulties being faced by the Kashmiri people who were in lockdown even before the virus outbreak.
