RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The unannounced hours-long power outages in Rawalpindi’s NA-61 Constituency areas including Misrial Road and Dhoke Syedan have caused resentment among local dwellers as it has disturbed studentseducational activities since they are forced to take Online Classes following the closure of educational institutions.

The 4 to 5 hour long load-shedding has become a routine matter in adjacent areas of NA-61 including Bait-e-Sada Colony, Dhoke Syedan, Misrial Road, Misrial Village, Friends Colony, Dhoke Gujran, Officers Colony, and Range Road.

They said that the Online Classes take place from 09:00 am to 02:00 pm every day; however, since power outages are so frequent in the morning hours, their Children’s education is hugely suffering, adding to their mental stress. The also grumbled about the apathy of elected public representatives as they were seen nowhere to mitigate their sufferings, and yet they have to pay heavy money on account of electricity bills.
