While addressing a ceremony in connection with distribution of ration packages amongst newspaper hawkers in, the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Syed Shibli Faraz said that despite limited resources, it is priority of the government to protect the vulnerable segments of the society during these testing times. The minister said that under the Ehsaas Program, cash assistance is being provided to the deserving families in the most efficient and transparent manner. The information minister said that the services of newspaper hawkers will also be acknowledged and a cash assistance program will soon be launched for them. Shibli Faraz said given the services rendered by newspaper hawkers, he has a special respect for this segment of the society. Furthermore, the minister also asked the people to continue to follow the precautionary measures.
