ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has announced the closure of Quetta-Taftan railway track following the breakout of coronavirus in Iran.

In a video message on Wednesday, Sheikh Rasheed said that all the four trains plying between Quetta and Taftan will remain suspended until the closure of Quetta-Taftan border.

The railways minister asked the passengers to take back their booked luggage and other things.

As many as 15 people have so far succumbed to coronavirus in Iran while further 95 including the Iranian Deputy Health Minister Iraj Harirchi remain affected by the virus.

The Iranian Qom City has mostly been affected by the virus which also took 52 more lives in China from where it was originated.

So far 78,064 people in China have been tested positive for the virus while the death toll from the outbreak has reached 2,715.

Besides, 12 and 11 people respectively in South Korea and Italy have also died of coronavirus while further hundreds of people have also been diagnosed with the virus infection in more than two dozen Countries around the globe.
