ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan has said that the flight operation between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan shall be started, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.

Talking to the Kyrgyz Ambassador to Pakistan Eric Beishemhiev who met him at the Aviation Division in Islamabad on Wednesday, the minister said that Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan are brotherly Countries. He said that our relations are warm and cordial based on trust and respect.

The Kyrgyz ambassador said that his Country is keen on further enhancing its ties with Pakistan.

The ambassador was of the view that Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan should start a weekly flight. Upon which, the federal minister said that the Aviation Division will consider this request of Kyrgyzstan under the 5th Right of Freedom.

It is important to note that the Air Services Agreement (ASA) between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan was concluded on October 14, 1993. The ASA stipulates multiple airlines designation. Air Kyrgyzstan, Air Manas, and Sky KG Airlines are the designated carriers of Kyrgyzstan.
