ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The three-day “Pakistan Mother Languages Literature Festival” will be held at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in Islamabad from February 21 to 23, 2020.

The festival will be organized by the Indus Cultural Forum and the PNCA in collaboration with the Punjab Institute of Language, Art & Culture (PILAC), and other Organizations.

The event will have Parallel Sessions on all three days.

The Opening Ceremony of the festival will take place at 05:00 pm on February 21 at the PNCA Auditorium, in which the Federal Minister for National History and Literary Heritage Shafqat Mahmood will be the Chief Guest.

The festival will feature various programs, i.e “Mother Tongue Education at Primary-Level Challenges and Experiences”, “Folk Literature of Pakistan”, “Situation of Theatre in Pakistani Mother Languages”, “Constitution and Protection of Mother Languages of Pakistan (Dedicated to Fakharudin G Ebrahim)”, “Poetry in Mother Languages-Launching of New Books and Poetry Recitation (dedicated to Himayat Ali Shair)”, “Trilingual Play “Ranjha” Presented by Dugdugi (Imran Muhster Nafees)”, “Translation of Mother Languages Literature”, “Launching of New Short Stories Books in Mother Languages (Dedicated to Hameed Sindhi)”, “City Profiles in Mother Languages”, and “Mother Languages and Digital Age-role of Magazines and Online Forums (Sponsored by Literary Forum of North America-Award for Parvez Sahir)”.

Referring to announcement of Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský, Ukrinform reports that Czech Republic will continue to provide support to Ukraine to repel and stop Russian aggression.
