RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Minister of State of the Federal Foreign Office Germany Niels Annen visited the Pakistan army’s general headquarters in Rawalpindi on Monday, and met the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.German State Minister for Foreign Affairs Niels Annen meets Pakistan Army Chief

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that during the meeting, issues of mutual interest, regional security and measures to enhance Pakistan-Germany bilateral cooperation in various fields were discussed.

The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s role for ensuring peace and stability in the region.

Meanwhile, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Nadeem Raza held a meeting with the Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi at the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad today, and discussed matters pertaining to professional affairs and overall regional security situation.

The Naval Chief felicitated General Nadeem Raza on assuming charge of new responsibilities.

Speaking on the occasion, the Naval Chief reaffirmed the commitment that Pakistan Navy will continue to play its role for harmony and cooperation among the armed forces of Pakistan.

The Naval Chief appreciated performance and capabilities of Pakistan Navy for maintaining maritime security in the region.
