ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate to Budapest Dr Muhammad Ejaz met the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on Monday.

Talking to him, the foreign minister said that his appointment has been made at a time when Pakistan has been facing many challenges on the diplomatic front.

The foreign minister appreciated Dr Muhammad Ejaz’s performance as the Additional Secretary (Afghanistan).

Shah Mahmood Qureshi congratulated Dr Muhammad Ejaz on his appointment as Pakistan’s Ambassador to Hungary and wished him success.

The ambassador-designate thanked the foreign minister for reposing his trust in him.

Meanwhile, the visiting Queen Máxima of the Netherlands also met the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad, and discussed matters pertaining to different aspects of economic and social development.

During the meeting, they agreed to promote bilateral cooperation in renewable energy, agriculture and horticulture sectors.
