Facebook will soon launch a new tab dedicated to news. Mark Zuckerberg expressed his views in April that a new “news tab” would be launched. “It’s important to me that we help people get trustworthy news and find solutions that help journalists around the world do their important work,” he further added. “People no longer have to rely on traditional gatekeepers in politics or media to make their voices heard, and that has important consequences”.

The biggest social media company has a deal with journalists. This new tab will show headlines in news tabs. After Mark Zuckerberg’s announcement in August this year, the company announced that it had introduced a new news section called ‘News Tab’ on Facebook. The company said that the ‘News tab’ section will get the services of journalists and journalists, in which the companies will continue to be important and important. The company is offer as much as $3 million for the rights to publish content on its upcoming news tab.

The section will be totally free for users. Some of the publishers will be paid licensing fees ranging from hundreds of thousands of dollars to a few million, according to the report. The social media behemoth sought to include stories from roughly 200 publishers, though all aren’t being paid. A system of algorithms and human editors will decide what new content will appear for readers. There will also be a breaking news section with 10 of the “top” stories of the moment selected by human editors. This step is taken because Facebook has faced sharp criticism for years over proliferating the spread of false information, which is a problem because 44% of adults get their news from Facebook and it is mostly false.
