Government of PakistanImran Khan once again slams Indian PM Modi for continuous Kashmir siege

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has once again lambasted his Indian Counterpart Narendra Modi for continuous siege of Jammu and Kashmir which entered 75th day on Friday.

“Modi is riding a tiger – he thought he could get his agenda of annexation by using 900k forces to silence Kashmiris,” the prime minister said in a tweet.

Imran Khan said that you don’t need 900,000 troops to fight terrorism; rather, you need them to terrorize eight million Kashmiri people.

The prime minister said that as the world watches the worst violation of human rights in Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IOJ&K), Modi is now fearful because he knows that the moment the siege is lifted in IOJ&K, there will be a bloodbath, which would be the only way to subdue the Kashmiri people.

Meanwhile, sirens were blared across the Country at 03:00 pm today to mark Kashmir Day which is being observed to express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiri people.

The people stood up with the rigging of sirens and then five-minute silence was observed. The activity ended with the playing of national anthem.

The normal life continues to remain affected for the 75th straight day today in the Kashmir Valley and Muslim majority areas of Jammu region due to the Indian military lockdown and suspension of internet and prepaid cellular services.

Shops and business establishments continue to remain closed except for few hours in the morning and evening whereas public transport is absent from the roads adding to people’s woes.
