LAHORE, Pakistan: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Kate Middleton undertook a day-long visit to Lahore on Thursday, and met the Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and the Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.
Expressing pleasure over the arrival of the British Royal Couple, Usman Buzdar said that Pakistan and United Kingdom are moving ahead together in journey of progress and prosperity.
The Chief Minister said that their visit will further strengthen Pakistan-UK bilateral ties.
Usman Buzdar also presented a traditional stick made of olive wood & a painting to Prince William and a shawl to Kate Middleton as gifts.
Earlier on their arrival in Lahore, Chaudhry Sarwar, Usman Buzdar and other high dignitaries warmly welcomed them at the Lahore airport.

Later, the Royal Couple visited SOS Village in Lahore where the administration of the organization briefed them about various aspects of the Village.
The Royal Couple also visited the National Cricket Academy (NCA), and met the Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ehsan Mani and the Managing Director PCB Wasim Khan.
Both Prince William and his Spouse Kate Middleton also played cricket along with Pakistan left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, female cricketer Sana Mir and local kids.

The National Team Bowling Coach Waqar Younis, Hasan Ali and Azhar Ali were also present on the occasion.
The British Royal Couple will also visit the historical Badshahi Mosque and Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital.
