ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In a strong response to India’s illegal move to repeal Jammu and Kashmir’s Special Status, Pakistan on Wednesday decided to suspend its bilateral trade relations and also downgrading its diplomatic ties with New Delhi.

The decision was taken in the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting which was held in Islamabad with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the Chair for the second time in three days, after India revoked Article 370 of its Constitutions, ending the Special Status granted to Jammu and Kashmir.

The NSC meeting reviewed the situation arising out of unilateral and illegal actions by the Indian government, situation inside Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and along the Line of Control (LoC).

It was decided to review bilateral arrangements between Pakistan and India.

It was also decided that the Independence Day on August 14 will be celebrated in solidarity with brave Kashmiris and their just struggle for their right of self-determination while August 15, the Indian Independence Day, will be observed as Black Day.

The National Security Committee decided to expose the Indian barbarism and prejudice on the diplomatic level, and the issue of abrogation of Article 370 by the Indian government will be taken to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

The prime minister directed that all diplomatic channels be activated to expose brutal Indian racist regime, design and human rights violations. He also directed the armed forces to remain vigilant to tackle any threat.

Pakistan asks India to withdraw its High Commissioner from Islamabad

Meanwhile pursuant to the decision of today’s NSC meeting, the Indian government has been told to withdraw its High Commissioner to Pakistan.

The Indian government has also been informed that Pakistan will not be sending its High Commissioner-designate to India.
