ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Elections on 16 seats of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly in newly merged tribal districts – the erstwhile FATA – would take place on July 2, 2019, as per the schedule issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday.

Elections would be held in following tribal districts;

  1. PK-100 Bajaur-I
  2. PK-101 Bajaur-II
  3. PK-102 Bajaur-III
  4. PK-103 Mohmand-I
  5. PK-104 Mohmand-II
  6. PK-105 Khyber-I
  7. PK-106 Khyber-II
  8. PK-107 Khyber-III
  9. PK-108 Kurram-I
  10. PK-109 Kurram-II
  11. PK-110 Orakzai
  12. PK-111 North Waziristan-I
  13. PK-112 North Waziristan-II
  14. PK-113 South Waziristan-I
  15. PK-114 South Waziristan-II
  16. PK-115 Ex-Frontier Regions

According to the schedule, the Public Notice will be issued by the Returning Officer (RO) on May 7, and the Aspirant Candidates can file their nomination papers with the Returning Officers from May 9 to May 11.

May 18 is the last date for scrutiny of the nomination papers whereas the last date for filing of appeals against decisions of the ROs regarding acceptance or rejection of the nomination papers is May 22.

The Candidates can withdraw their nomination papers by May 29 whilst on the same day, the revised list of candidates will be published.

The Election Symbol to the Contesting Candidates will be allotted on May 30, and the Polling would be held on July 2.Elections on 16 seats of KPK assembly in tribal districts on July 2
