Eurasia Press Fund attends 40th session of the UN Human Rights Council

Monitoring Desk: Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) attended 40th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

According to Eurasia Diary, the President of IEPF Umud Mirzayev, Vice-President Ramil Azizov, the Assistant to the IEPF President and political analyst Anastasia Lavrina participated in the 40th session of the UN Human Rights Council that started its work on February 25th.

IEPF representatives also attended the official meetings and parallel side events being orginized by different non-government organisations at the UN Office in Geneva.

“Delegates will participate in the annual meeting of UN Human Rights Commissar with civil society organizations, in the side event “Human Rights in the Arab region” organized by the Global Institute for Water, Environment and Health, “Rights to a Sustainable Environment”, “The effect of war on children,”, reports Eurasia Diary

It is pertinent to mention that the IEPF will also organize a side-event on the topic of “Water for Peace and Security” in partnership with the Global Institute for Water, Environment, and Health, in the framework of 40th session of the UN Human Rights Council on 7 March.

It may be remembered that the International Eurasia Press Fund (IEPF) is an independent non-governmental organization having head office in Baku, Azerbaijan. The Fund regularly collaborates with international organisations such as UNDP, UNHCR, the US State Department, the European Commission, NATO, the International Press Institute and Journalists without Borders.
