Pakistan’s four top order batsmen made worthwhile contributions to the team’s victory. But it was more of Mohammad Hafeez’s unbeaten 71 runs which helped Pakistan go through with success in the end.
In reply to South Africa’s 267 runs for two, Imam Ul Haq along with Fakhar Zaman built a 45-run Opening Partnership. But later both lost their wickets to Duanne Olivier on 89 and 25 run respectively.
Babar Azm fell short of just one run to score his 10th ODI Fifty and fell prey to Reeza Hendricks on 49. Shoaib Malik and Sarfraz Ahmed fell early on 12 and 1 runs but Shadab Khan with 18 runs not out helped Mohammad Hafeez to lead the Side to a victory in the last over.
