RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Security Forces killed a wanted terrorist Hakim when they conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan District as part of the Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.

In a press release issued on Saturday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the operation was conducted in Mochiwal area of Daraban Tehsil.

The ISPR said that the terrorist Hakim was armed with automatic weapons and grenades, and he had made six civilians hostage for ulterior motives. It said that all hostages have been rescued by the Security Forces.

It further said that four Security Forces personnel received injuries during the operation.

The Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad was launched by Pakistani armed forces on February 22, 2017 aimed at eliminating the threat of terrorism and consolidating the gains of the Operation Zarb-e-Azb which was launched in 2014 as a joint military offensive against terrorists.
