KARACHI: An All Parties Conference (APC) under the auspices of the Sindh government will be held at the New Sindh Secretariat today (Tuesday) to evolve a strategy and suggest steps to ensure law and order in the city as well as implementation on the code of conduct in elections.

As many as 20 political and religious parties including the PPP, PML-N, MQM, ANP, PML-Q, PML-F, Jamaat-e-Islami, JUI-F, JUP-Noorani, PTI, Sunni Tehreek and other parties will attend the conference.

The election process, public and corner meetings, polling stations, voting process, effective security and other issues would come under discussion in the APC meeting, interim Advisor to Sindh CM Fayyaz Mehmood Shaikh said in a statement.

Shaikh said leaders belonging to different political parties contesting from Sindh, officials of Election Commission of Pakistan and representatives of police, rangers, law-enforcement agencies would participates in the APC.

According to TASS news Agency, Nebenzya said that Moscow will continue to call for an end to violence against Palestinians and will not allow the US to muzzle the UN Security Council as Washington seeks to support Israel's operation in Gaza. "We will continue to stand firmly for ending violence against the Palestinians. Without a shadow of a doubt, we will continue to expose the abuses and sanctimony with which the US is handling the situation. We will not allow the Americans to gag the entire council with their hands in an effort to encourage further continuation of Israel's ruthless operation," he said in a speech at the Security Council.
