CM Punjab Chairs meeting on new local system
LAHORE, Pakistan: The Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that the new local body system in Punjab will truly reflect the wishes of people.
While presiding over a high level meeting in which new local body system was review, Usman Buzdar said that the new Punjab local body system will empower the local government in its true sense.
Usman Buzdar said that the new system will play an important role to resolve the issues of the people. He said that there will be strict checks and balances on local body governments.
The Chief Minister added that transparency will be the priority in new Punjab local body system.
The meeting was attended among others by the Senior Punjab Minister for Local Government and Community Development (LG&CD) Abdul Aleem Khan.
The Secretary Municipal briefed the Chief Minister about the new proposed Punjab local body system.

PM Imran Khan to visit Lahore tomorrow
Meanwhile as per the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Media Department, Prime Minister and the Chairman PTI Imran Khan will visit Lahore tomorrow.
The prime minister will preside a meeting of the Punjab Cabinet in Lahore, in which he will be briefed about the performance of the Punjab Cabinet and new local body system.
Imran Khan will also meet the Chief Minister Punjab, Cabinet members, and PTI-affiliated members of the Punjab Assembly.
