The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has chalked out a special traffic plan for travelers amid 9th Muharram processions being taken out in the Federal Capital on Thursday.

The 9th Muharram Ul Haram is being observed throughout the Country today with due solemnity and sanctity to pay homage to the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (Razi Allah-ho Tala Anho) and his companions in Karbala.

Ulema and Zakireen are throwing light on the bright and candid teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his great companions.

Elaborate security arrangements have been made to avoid any untoward incident during mourning processions.

As per security measures, mobile phone services have been partially suspended in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Okara and Vehari.

Likewise, in Shikarpur, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Peshawar, different areas of Lahore, Karachi, Hyderabad and surrounding areas, cellular services have been completely suspended due to procession of 9th Muharram Ul Haram.

In the Federal Capital, the Traffic Police has devised a special traffic diversion plan for 9th Muharram, and guided motorists to use alternative routines.

The major mourning procession in Islamabad is being taken out from G-6 Imambargah, and it will pass through Luqman Hakeem Road, G-6 Service Road, Saddar Road, Municipal Road, Melody Chowk, Shuhada Chowk, Police Station Abpara, and Polyclinic before it culminates in the evening.Islamabad traffic plan devised for 9th Muharram processions
