LAHORE, Pakistan: The Britain High Commissioner to Pakistan Thomas Drew met with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) nominee for the Governor Punjab Senator Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar in Lahore on Saturday morning.

The two dignitaries discussed matters regarding the bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom and regional issues in the meeting.

Chaudhry Sarwar said that Pakistan and Britain are good partner in development and prosperity of the Country. He said that we appreciate the cooperation extended by Britain to Pakistan in the field of education and health.

The 66-year-old Senator Chaudhry Sarwar is the PTI’s nominee for the Governor of the Punjab, wherein the party is also in the power. He held the governorship of Punjab in the past as well from August 15, 2013 to January 29, 2015.

Chaudhry Sarwar has also served as the British Parliamentarian in the past.
