ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: edotco Group (“edotco”), an integrated telecommunications infrastructure services company, is pleased to announce that it was presented the “Asia Pacific Telecoms Tower Company of the Year Award” for 2018 by Frost & Sullivan.

This is the second time the company is being recognised in this category on the Asia Pacific level, after being recognised in 2016 as the Southeast Asia Telecoms Tower Company of the Year.

“We are honoured to be recognised by Frost and Sullivan for the third year in a row. This award is a testament to our efforts in ensuring the right sharable infrastructure is constructed and managed efficiently. This award is also an acknowledgement of our commitment which goes beyond the telecommunications ecosystem as it recognises our sustainability efforts and our nation building initiatives in the countries in which we are present”, said Suresh Sidhu, CEO of edotco Group at the awards ceremony.

The award was presented at the annual Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Best Practices Awards ceremony held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, yesterday evening. The Awards recognise best-in-class companies that excel in their respective business segments, as well as their efforts to develop the industry in 2017.

Ajay Sunder, Vice President of ICT at Frost & Sullivan said, “edotco has demonstrated leadership not only in terms of service delivery but also in areas of sustainability and innovation. In just one year they have successfully commercialised the first bamboo tower which was pioneered in 2017 to go on and deploy eight more. This award acknowledges the relentless efforts of the team and recognizes the company’s outstanding performance throughout 2017. It reflects their great achievements throughout the year and we hope it inspires them to continue delivering”.

“In 2017, edotco grew its tenancies by 18% and hit our all-time high tenancy ratio of 1.57x. Our acquisition of Tanzanite Towers in Pakistan was also a significant step for us. I would like to dedicate this award to the great team at edotco. It is with their commitment to delivering world-class results that we have been able to strengthen our presence across the region, pioneer innovative solutions successfully and continue to set benchmarks for other towercos around the world. I am excited about the next few months as we continue to drive operational excellence, explore next generation sharing technology and adopt more digital ways of doing business, aimed at bringing more value to our customers”, added Suresh.

Frost & Sullivan’s team of analysts undertake a thorough methodology in its evaluation of excellence, and the award categories offered each year are carefully reviewed and evaluated to reflect the current market landscape, including new emerging trends. Short-listed companies were evaluated on a variety of actual market performance indicators which include revenue growth; market share and growth in market share; leadership in product innovation; marketing strategy and business development strategy.
