ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The President Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Shahbaz Sharif has said that PML-N will abide by the decisions of the allied opposition, and vote for Syed Khursheed Shah in the election of the Speaker National Assembly.

Talking to media outside the Parliament House in Islamabad on Wednesday, Shahbaz Sharif said that the joint opposition made the alliance two weeks ago. He said that it was unanimously decided that the Speaker would be from Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) while the Deputy Speaker would be from Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA).

Shahbaz Sharif said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) failed to conduct fair general elections. He said that the Caretaker government had already become partial prior to July 25 polls.

The president PML-N said that we have tied black ribbons with imprinted text saying ‘Vote Ko Izzat Do’ to record our protest, and added we will stage a protest inside and outside the National Assembly.

Moreover, he said that the prosecution couldn’t provide evidences of corruption against the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz.
