Delhi: Police in India say they have arrested an Indian national on charges of spying for Pakistan. The Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.
Police said Sumar Khan had been detained not far from where the Indian Air Force held military exercises on February 22.The 35-year-old man is accused of passing on to Islamabad details of those military drills, code-named Iron Fist.
Both India’s President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh attended the drill in the eastern desert state of Rajasthan, on the border with Pakistan. It was unclear when Khan had been arrested.There’s been no reaction so far from Islamabad. Rivals Pakistan and India regularly trade accusations of spying.
