Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) outnumbered all opponents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2018 elections, and succeeded to bag 2102084 votes which eventually led it to occupy 66 seats in the provincial assembly.
Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal Pakistan followed PTI for second place and clinched 1107486 votes, whereas independents took 922938 votes.
Other main parties which remained at fourth, fifth and sixth positions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were Awami National Party (ANP) with 792691 votes, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) with 643338 votes, and Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) with 598277 votes respectively.
