ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A total of 3,675 Candidates are contesting for National Assembly Seats in general elections 2018 while 8,895 Candidates are taking part for Provincial Assemblies Seats, according to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Elections 2018 are scheduled across Pakistan on July 25, for which Candidates affiliated with various political parties or as independents are vying for 272 National Assembly Constituencies, 297 Punjab Assembly Constituencies, 130 Sindh Assembly Constituencies, 99 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Constituencies, 51 Balochistan Assembly Constituencies, and three Islamabad Constituencies.

As per the details issued by the ECP, as many as 105.96 million eligible voters will exercise their right on July 25 to elect members of National as well as Provincial Assemblies from 3,675 National Assembly and 8,895 Provincial Candidates.

The ECP said that the Candidates for the National Assembly Seats include 760 (725 males & 35 females) from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,696 (1,623 males & 73 females) from Punjab, 303 (287 males & 16 females) from Balochistan and 872 (824 males & 48 females) from Sindh.

As many as 44 Candidates are contesting for Minority Seats in the National Assembly.

Likewise, 4,242 Candidates (4,036 males, 174 females & 32 non-Muslims) are in the run for the Punjab Assembly, 1,007 (943 males, 42 females & 22 non-Muslims) for the Balochistan Assembly, 1,264 (1,165 males, 79 females & 20 non-Muslims) for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and 2,382 (2,252 males, 91 females & 39 non-Muslims) for the Sindh Assembly.3,675 National Assembly Candidates, 8,895 Provincial Candidates vying in Elections 2018
