ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that the Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal should resign immediately as he has lost the credibility after he leveled baseless allegations against me over money laundering.

While addressing a Press Conference at Punjab House in Islamabad on Thursday afternoon, Nawaz Sharif said that the Chairman NAB should extend apology or bring evidence within next 24 hours.

“Allegations against me are serious and shameful,” he said adding that he was accused of transferring $5 billion abroad through money laundering.

Nawaz Sharif said that the Chairman NAB levelled the allegation on the base of a column published in a newspaper. He said that he has been an elected prime minister of Pakistan for three times.

The former prime minister said that attempts are being made to make a new case to punish me. He said that NAB is involved in my character assassination.

Furthermore, he said that although my name was not mentioned in Panama papers but yet I was disqualified.

NAB notices are not my personal invitations: Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal

Meanwhile while addressing a Ceremony held in Peshawar, Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal said that notices of NAB are not my personal invitations rather they are being issued from the institution.

The Chairman NAB said that accountability is not against anyone, adding that it is in favor of masses.

Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal said that no more corruption will be tolerated in the Country.
