ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government has allocated Rs 29,876.617 million for executing new schemes and completing ongoing projects in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) during the financial year 2018-19 under Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).

According to budgetary document, Rs150 million for executing new projects included Rs 100 million for Establishment of Endowment Fund for Pakistan Red Crescent AJK; Rs 50 million for Improvement and Metalling of 13 km Link Road, Konkan Panjoor Gali, district Muzaffarabad.

Meanwhile, the block allocations for Azad Jammu and Kashmir were Rs 25,500 million. A sum of Rs 29,726.617 million has also been allocated for completing the ongoing projects in AJK. Rs 300 million for 48 mw Jagran Hydro Power Project, AJK; Rs500 million for AJK Legislative Assembly Complex; Rs 100 million for Athmaqam-Keran road; Rs1,955.617 million for the construction of Rathoua Haryam Bridge across reservoir channel on Mirpur Islamgarh Road; Rs 500 million for Mirwaiz Muhammad Farooq Shaheed Medical college, Muzaffarabad; Rs 471 million for Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Medical College, Mirpur; Rs 100 million for Noseri Leswa Bypass Road; Rs 300 million for water supply Sewerage Scheme Mirpur City and Hamlets.

Rs 19,534 million allocated for completing on going schemes in Gilgit-Baltistan

Rs 19,534 million has been allocated for completing the ongoing schemes at Gilgit-Baltistan during financial year 2018-19 under the PSDP.

The block allocations for Gilgit-Baltistan would be Rs 17,000 million.

The allocations of ongoing schemes included, Rs 582 million has been allocated for completing 20 mw Hydro Power Project Hanzel, Gilgit; Rs 200 million for 26mw Shagarthang Hydropower Project, Skardu; Rs 302 million

for 34.5 mw Harpo Hydro Power Project, Skardu; Rs 100 million for  construction of 04 mw Hydropower Project, Thack, Chilas; Rs 750 million construction of 16 mw Hydro Power Project, Nalter-III; Rs 200 million for establishment

of 50 bedded Cardiac Hospital Phase-I at Gilgit; Rs 100 million for establishment of Polytech Institute for Boys at Skardu (Baltistan Region); Rs 300 million for upgradation of road from RCC bridge Konodas to Naltar Air force Base, via Normal.
