PoliticsNawaz Sharif says he won’t retreat or bow down

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday said only he was being politically victimized now but he would not ever retreat or bow down.

“My heart and conscience say that it’s an oppression and abuse,” Nawaz Sharif said while talking to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders and parliamentarians belonging to Sargodha Division in Islamabad.

The former premier said his conscience didn’t allow him to give up and sit at home. He said even if he was sentenced to jail, he would continue to play his part from behind bars.

Nawaz Shari also said the Parliament had to decide about the life time disqualification. He said only PML-N was being targeted, adding opponents couldn’t make any corruption case against him.

“We curbed the menace of terrorism from the Country,” he said.

The PML-N Quaid said no one had the courage to bring Pervez Musharraf to Pakistan. He said only they registered a case against a former military dictator, making a history.

Nawaz Sharif said Pervez Musharraf was permitted to run away from the Country but he was not granted exemption from appearance in the Court to meet his ailing wife abroad.

The former prime minister said those who did corruption in National Insurance Corporation Limited (NICL) and ate up the commission of $ 6 million where those people were.

Furthermore, he said they had not learnt any lesson from the separation of Bengal. He said the people of Sindh had become fed up of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)-led provincial government.
