KARACHI, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) holds key to the Country’s progress as it will help to enhance regional connectivity.

While addressing the two-day CPEC Summit organized by the Ministry of Planning, Development & Reform in cooperation with Dawn Media Group in Karachi on Monday, the prime minister said that CPEC will bring prosperity for the entire region.

The prime minister said that no one was aware of CPEC until 2015. He said that industrial zone under CPEC will provide new opportunities to Pakistani entrepreneurs.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that CPEC is being built keeping in view the economic viability. He said that CPEC is not a temporary but a project for generations.

Moreover, he said that CPEC is becoming a reality, adding that transmission lines are being spread under CPEC. He said that the traders will get a chance to improve their business.

In addition, the prime minister said that the neighboring Afghanistan understands that CPEC is beneficial for it too.
