ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday said politicians were seasoned and sagacious, and they should work together for the national interest as they had all the required capabilities to steer the Country out of any crisis.

Talking to media in Islamabad, the president said all political parties must act proactively in a bid to make China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) successful which would eventually guarantee a prosperous and developed Pakistan.

The president said political parties must not engage themselves in such activities which would halt the Country’s development process. He hoped that upcoming general elections would be held on time.

President Mamnoon also urged all institutions to work within their constitutional ambit. He said if institutions did not cross their boundaries, there would be no complaint of anyone.

Talking about the recently announced Tax Amnesty Scheme, the president said amnesty scheme remained successful in Indonesia. He said the scheme was not introduced only in Pakistan but also in Indonesia and Malaysia.

Earlier the president visited the Headquarters of Passport Office in Islamabad to renew his passport.

The president appreciated the arrangements at Passport Office for public facilitation.
