ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Thursday said no one would be allowed to disrupt continuity of democracy in the Country.

In her address at the launching ceremony of six-day photographic exhibition titled ‘Icons of Pakistan Freedom Movement’ in Islamabad, the minister said democracy was innately found in every Pakistani because foundations of the Country were based on two-nation theory.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said they saluted those who fought for an independent Country and achieved Pakistan through their hard work. “Our elders gave countless sacrifices to brighten our future,” she said.

The information said they had successfully overcome challenges including energy crisis and terrorism. She also said they should propagate their cultural values.

Talking about 78th Pakistan Day, the minister said the Day reminded them the dream of Allama Iqbal and the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. She pointed out that by following the Quaid’s three basic principles; Unity, Discipline and Faith, they could can become a successful nation.

Marriyum Aurangzeb further said Quaid-e-Azam had always given priority to education. She expressed the hope that the day was not far when there would be 100 percent literacy rate in Pakistan and the best health facilities would be available to every citizen.

The exhibition was organized by the Directorate of Electronic Media Publications and would continue till next Tuesday.
